PROFILE – GARY FAIRHURSTGary Fairhurst is a Massage Therapist and has been practicing full-time for 7 years in both the United Kingdom and Australia. He is qualified with Diplomas in Sports Therapy, Sports Massage and Advanced Remedial Massage. Massage therapy treatments are beneficial for sporting or accident injuries and are scheduled at 30, 60 or 90 minute sessions depending on the needs of the patient. A half hour can be an excellent introduction to body work, with plenty of time for a specific area such as neck, shoulders, legs and feet. An hour would be beneficial for more in-depth work on a particular area, for example, back, neck and shoulders. Massage therapy will aid in the recovery of painful trigger points, relaxing contracted muscles and healing injured tissue. Gary’s preferred style of massage is deep tissue and also remedial and sports massage therapy. He has been a member of the Health plus Chiropractic team for 5 years and is a professional member of Massage Australia. He also has much experience in corporate massage, massage for family members of all ages and using massage for rehabilitation. |
